The Walton Women’s Beach Football Tournament will begin on July 1 at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association will arrange the football competition under auspices of Walton Group.
Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation will be the hospitality partner, while Beach Management Committee, DC of Cox’s Bazar and Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police will supervise the tournament.
To mark the upcoming football meet, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Anup Barua Apu and Football Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association AKM Rashed Hossain Nannu were present at the conference.
A total of eight teams will take part in the three-day long football competition. They are: ‘Brazil’, ‘Argentina’, ‘Germany’, ‘Spain’, ‘England’, ‘France’, ‘Japan’, ‘Portugal’.
The champions will be awarded Taka 30 thousand, while the runners-up will get Taka 20 thousand. The participating teams will be given Taka five thousand each.
The competition will be concluded on July 3.
