Another teenager became the victim of drug conflict in the capital city again.
The deceased was identified as Md Ashikur Rahman Ashiq, 15, son of one Kamal Mia.
Police later recovered the body of the teenage from in front of a five-storey building in the Kathalbagan area of the capital on Tuesday morning.
According to the family, Ashiq was killed due to dealing with other drug traders.
It is also learned that Ashiq had a strain relation with few other teenagers over drug trading.
Abul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner of Police in Newmarket Zone, said the locals spotted the body lying on the alley and
informed police, which later recovered the body and took it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Doctors declared him dead after he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The victim’s brother Sagar claimed that Ashiq might have been murdered.
The real cause behind the death could not be known yet, but the exact reason will be surfaced on receipt of the autopsy report, police said.
