Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal presented a bat to player of Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket team Rumana Ahmed on Thursday. Rumana Ahmed and her teammates will leave the city tomorrow for South Africa to play five ODI matches and three Twenty20 International matches.
Rumana Ahmed had two bats. One of them was broken and Rumana lost the other. Rumana Ahmed used to play with a CA brand bat. Hard-hitter Tamim Iqbal used to play with CA brand bat. So, Rumana Ahmed went to Tamim Iqbal and wanted to purchase his bat.
Tamim did not sell the bat. She gifted the bat to Rumana Ahmed.
After getting the bat, Rumana Ahmed said, ” He played matches using this bat. I expect that the bat will be powerful. I am used to play with this brand of bat. I did not think that Tamim Bhaiya will present me this bat. The bat is very much valuable to me. Tamim Iqbal scored many runs with this bat. I shall try to keep the honour of this bat.”
