Entertainment Report :
Sangsaptak, once immensely popular drama serial written by Shahidullah Kaiser and directed by Abdullah Al Mamun, started airing on BTV for the first time in 1971. After long 17 years, the serial Sangsaptak returned to BTV in 1988. But the serial had to stop telecasting again during the countrywide disastrous flood of 1988. Then again, telecasting of Sangsaptak resumed after the flood and finally the serial saw its long-awaited and successful conclusion.
Veteran actress Ferdousi Majumdar caught the attention of the viewers at a large scale for playing a unique character named Hurmoti in Sangsaptak. Now, after 30 years, the viewers would meet a character after the name of Hurmoti on the big screen.
In this connection, noted actress, producer and director Shabnam Parvin is making a movie titled Hurmoti. Moreover, Shabnam herself will play the titular role in the movie.
Shabnam informed that the shooting of the movie is currently underway at different locations in the city. However, Hurmoti in Shabnam’s movie has no similarity with the character from the audience-admired TV serial Sangsaptak.
