Nazrul Academy will arrange a three-day programme to observe the 115th birth anniversary of our National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and to mark 43rd founding anniversary of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro for the first time.
This year Nazrul Academy will give Nazrul Padak 2014 to popular Nazrul singer Abdul Mannan.
The programme will take place from May 25 to 27. Therefore, Nazrul Academy’s own publication will also be published on the occasion.
This was announced at a press conference held at the National Press Club yesterday where Kazi Nazrul Islam’s granddaughter and also EC member of Nazrul Academy Khilkhil Kazi, General Secretary of the Academy Mintu Rahman, noted Nazrul researcher M Mizanur Rahman, Vice President Syed Akhter Yusuf, publication secretary Reza Matin, representatives of the academy across the country, among others, spoke at the conference.
