A consignment in the name of consignee Sohora Fashion Ltd filled with sands detected at Chattogram Port instead of polyster yarn so declared in the bill of entry.
The L/C amount of these polyster yarn worth was 49.697 US dollars imported from China .Acting on secret information, customs conducted physical inventory of the container and found sands instead of polyster yarn.
Earlier on January 24 last, sands also detected in the container of same importer.Asstt commissioner of Audit Investigation & Research branch of Customs Noor A Hasna Sanjida told that two Bill of Entry were submitted in thename of Sohra Fashion on January 22 last of Exim Bank invoice value of25.505 US $ and 24.192 US $ respectively.
The import declaration of the consignment was polyster yarn but in 40 feet long container found sacks ofsands. Earlier same incident of misdeclared consignment was detected of this importer.
