Jahanara Haque Runu won against former National woman Champion WIM Shamima Akter Liza in 3rd round game of the WALTON 37th National Women’s Chess Championship now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
In the day’s 3rd round games were held on Tuesday, Runu played with black pieces against Queen’s Pawn Opeing of Liza, Liza makes a blunder at 9th moves and lost bher Bishop and finally Runu won the game after 53 moves.
Meanwhile, four players are sharing leads in the points table with maximum 3 points each. They are reigning woman champion WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, reigning woman runner-up WFM Sharmin Sultana

In 3rd round games Protiva Talukder split points with WFM Tanima Parveen, WFM Shirin beat Farjana Hossain Annie, WFM Eva beat Afrin Jahan Munia, WFM Zakia beat Tanzina Akter Tani, Noshin Anjum drew with Dilara Jahan Nupur, Kazi Zarin Tasnim drew with Hamida Begum, WIM Rani Hamid beat WFM Afroza Khanam Bably, Mst. Jhorna Begum beat Sasin Akter and Kiswara Shajrin Evana beat Walijah Ahmed.
