A coordination meeting has been held in Rangpur with traders and millers to expand the market for zinc rice and rice to prevent human diseases. The meeting was organized by RDRS Bangladesh in collaboration with Harvestpass Bangladesh at Brothers Auto Rice Mill premises in Taraganj upazila of Rangpur district on Tuesday.
Tariqul Islam, Shaheen Ahmed, Krizi Bipanan, Senior Co-ordinator RDRS Bangladesh, Mamun Ur Rashid and Ruhul Amin Mandal of HarvestPlus were present on the occasion. Pneumonia occurs along with baldness, loss of height and maternal problems.
‘Therefore, they urged to increase the diet of zinc rice. The speakers also said that the requirement of zinc in the human body and the availability of zinc through rice, the main food of the people of Bangladesh.
