Results of 191 SSC students change after re-evaluation

The new results were published on the website of Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education, Chittagong, on Saturday morning.
Exam Controller Mahbub Hasan said 22,523 copies had been re-evaluated following appeals by 9,786 students.
Of those whose results were altered, 44 failed students managed to pass, while the grades of 88 underwent a changed.
Two of the students who had failed made it to GPA-5 after fresh scrutiny.
Hasan said 21 students, who had got less than GPA-5, secured the highest, while 54 GPA-5 students lost the grade.
It has also been revealed that 4,286 students had sought a relook at their mathematics papers.
After the results were out on May 31, teachers and the board officials said the passing rate in Chittagong had dropped due to poor performance in mathematics.
In 2014, the rate of passing in the SSC was 91.4 percent. It dropped to 82.77 percent this year.
The results of 113 students had changed after re-examination in 2014.
Exam Controller Hasan said the students with changed results would be able to apply for college admission till 11:59pm on Sunday.
