Rangpur Division emerged as the champions of the Development Cup Under-16 Football beating Dhaka Division by 3-2 goals in the tie-breaker of the final at the Physical Education College Ground in Mohammadpur on Monday.
The stipulated seventy-minute match ended in a goalless draw.
Thus the fate of the final was decided in the tie-breaker.
Sehab of Dhaka Division was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
After the final match, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, MP, distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Director of Sports Directorate Md Abul Hashem, Assistant Director of Sports Directorate and Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee Syed Nazmul Hasan Lovon, Assistant Director of the Sports Directorate and Coordinator of the Tournament Committee Md Tariquzzaman Nannu were present at the time.
