RAB nabs 4 fraudsters for luring people of lucrative jobs

RAB has arrested four members of a fraudulent gang that was cheating people in the name of giving them jobs by opening a fake online TV channel.
They were arrested during a raid in Hemayetpur, savar upazila in Dhaka. RAB-4 captain DIG Mozammel Haque confirmed this to The New Nation on Sunday.
The arrestees are Md. Didarul Islam, Wasim
Mandal, Mahmuda Jasmine Rita and Achma Akter Ritu.
It was alleged that a gang has been cheating for a long time by opening a fake online TV channel in Hemayetpur of Dhaka’s Savar upazila. Following this RAB-4 arrested four members of the ring in a raid on allegations of fraud in the name of appointing representatives in a fake online TV channel.
The RAB official said that they were cheating people for a long time by publishing advertisements for appointing of district representatives showing the temptation to pay attractive salaries. After conferming the allegation form the victims, four members of a fraudulent recruitment and job scam were arrested in a raid on the office of an online TV channel called News TV Bangla on the third floor of Mollah Super Market in Hemayetpur of Savar Police Station on saturday night.
During the operation, ID cards, ID card tapes, stickers, six cameras of different models, five monitors and two computers were seized from the office of News TV Bangla Channel. Besides, yaba, liquor bottles and Rs 90,000 were recovered from there.
Referring to the arrested persons, he said that they had cheated people by showing greed for jobs in the unauthorized online based fake channel News TV Bangla.
They have embezzled huge sums of money from educated unemployed youths by promising to appoint representatives in different districts and upazilas of the country.
