Weekend Plus Desk :
Who doesn’t love winters? It’s always fun to envelop yourself in cozy quilts and read a book or hit the pubs for some warm winter cocktails, when you are in the mood for it.
But the cold season comes with problems of its own which can actually create havoc with your skin. In all honesty, dealing with dry skin and chapped lips can get a little tiring at times.
To make your winter smooth and enjoyable, we bring you these three tips. Take a look.
Deep moisturisation is a must: If you want to get rid of parched skin then we suggest you go for an intensive skin care regime. But if that doesn’t rock your boat then you can always opt for a cocoa butter body cream. Not only does it smell good, it also deeply nourishes your skin as it seeps through the crack of your skin. Another alternative is to use olive oil as per your requirement to deeply moisturise your skin, right before you go for a bath. For the face, chose a cream that keeps your skin hydrated all day long.
Say hello to soft lips: For most, petroleum jelly is a saving grace during winters but thinks about this, is it really good for your skin? It’s always better to get hold of a lip care product with vitamin E as it moisturises, treats sunburns, and lightens dark spots.
Say no to cracked feet: Winter is hard for the skin as it squeezes away the moisture from deep within, but heels have a really tough time than any other part of the body during this season. A daily light massage with a mixture of glycerine and rose water at bedtime can work wonders.
