Birth centenary anniversary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be celebrated in Chattogram in a befitting manner amid number of programs on March 17 next. . At least 2020 students will be dressed with model of Bangabandhu at MA Aziz stadium in the port city to mark the centenary birth anniversary .
To celebrate the centenary birth anniversary , district administration taking prepations to cut a birthday cake weight about 100 pounds .Besides, cake cutting, daylong programs on the day includes wall painting, weeklong drawing competition, competitions on Bangabandhu’s speech, easy competitions among school and college students, distribution of rich foods to vegabonds, and doa mahfil and prayers will be arranged in different mosques of the city including Jamiatul Falah mosque . This was revealed from the preparatory meeting on celebration of the centenary birth anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Children Day . Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Md.Elias Hossain presided the preparatory meeting.
Among others, Addll. Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Kamal Hosain, Chattogram Police super SM Rashidul Hoque, District Women affairs officer Madhabi Barua, district Children Affairs Officer Nasrin Sultana, Deputy Director of District Information Office Jahirul Alam Majumder, district Mukhtijudda Commander Shahabuddin Ahmed, Mohanagar Mukhtijudda commander Mozaffar Ahmed and senior officials of the district and divisional constitutions were present. To celebration the day in a befitting manner, a grand rally will be brought out from Circuit house premises on March 17 , Addl. DC told to media persons. The rally will parade upto shilpakala academy and will place wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in the academy premises.
