Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said, “Conspiracies are being made at home and abroad to oust Sheikh Hasina’s government.” “Where the conspiracy meetings are being held, we know. We are observing everything and action will be taken in time,” he said this while addressing a workshop at Gulshan Youth Club in the city yesterday afternoon.
Warning his party leaders and workers, he advised them to go ahead with the people and keep their head cool.
Obaidul Quader said, “If we are united, no power will be able to prevent our victory by the grace of Allah.”
The AL Secretary said, “We will be the winner as the opponents are trying to come to power through conspiracies.”
He asked the party leaders and workers not to give provocative slogans during procession, do not give a speech that can break peace.
Obaidul Quader also asked the leaders and activists to be united on cool head. “We will not attack anyone, if we get attacked, we will answer back. As we will not attack, so, we will not give any provocative statement. We hope that leaders and workers of the party will be responsible.”
He claimed that people are not responding to the BNP call, though BNP had said that millions of people would take to the streets by Khaleda Zia’s imprisonment. Now, the BNP has realized that the people are not responding to their call.
He said, “We believe that people do not want the election-oriented movement, so, they will not succeed by calling the movement.”
Dhaka North City Awami League President AKM Rahmat Ullah presided over the meeting. Awami League Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, Dhaka north’s General Secretary Sadek Khan, among others, spoke on the occasion.
