Plot of anti-liberation forces won’t be successful: Shajahan

Shipping Minister M Shajahan Khan yesterday said the conspiracy of anti-liberation forces to erase the name of Bangabandhu and Joy Bangla slogan will not be successful.
“The defeated forces of 1971 tried to erase the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Joy Bangla slogan after 1975 . . . But their conspiracies was not successful at all,” he said while speaking at a discussion meeting at Liberation War Museum at Segunbagicha here.
Central committee of Muktijoddha Prajanma Command organized the discussion on “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” marking the 36th Victory Day with its President Mohammad Ishaque Khan in the chair.
The minister categorically said the conspiracy of the vested quarter will not be successful till a single freedom fighter remains alive in holy soil of Bangladesh.
“Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are a one and indifferent soul and Bangabandhu was like the Himalayas,” he observed.
He said the movement launched by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu to ensure economic emancipation of the mass people still continues under the farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The shipping minister urged the new generation to come forward together to face all sorts of anti-state conspiracies in the interest of the country and its people.
Vice-Chairman of the Central Command Council of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Md Salahuddin, General Secretary of Muktijoddho Chetona Bastobayon Manch Abdul Malek Miah, General Secretary of Muktijoddha Prajanma Command Ashraf Ahmed Leon and its Dhaka University unit President Sohan Siraj addressed the function, among others.
