Convener of Gopalganj district Awami Swechchhasebok League Mohammad Akramuzzaman died in a hospital in the city on Thursday. He was 58.
Akramuzzaman is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock at the death of him.
AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim also condoled the death of Akramuzzaman.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to members of the bereaved family.
