No remedy yet: Now Class I-IV question papers ‘leaked’ in Natore

Amid widespread criticism against primary schools’ question papers leakage in many districts, the question papers of Class I-IV have been leaked in Natore district.
The Natore District Administration on Monday cancelled examinations of mathematics of class I and IV after question paper leakage.
Acting District Primary Education Officer Anwar Hossain said Monday’s examination of mathematics were postponed after a person showed a hand-written question paper at Agdigha Government Primary School prior to beginning the examination.
It matched with the real question paper that created a row in the area, the DPEO said, adding that on information, upazila administration and education officers visited the spot.
Later, Deputy Commissioner of the district formed a three-member probe body, headed by Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Sadar upazila Shamim Bhuiyan, to investigate the matter.
This followed after question papers of “Paribesh Parichiti” of class-I and “Bangladesh O Biswa Parichay” of class-IV in all 140 primary schools of Barguna Sadar were leaked recently.
Earlier the questions of some final examinations in 119 primary schools of Munshiganj were leaked and the district administration had to postpone the examinations.
Police on Wednesday arrested nine persons in connection with the question papers leakage of class II-IV in Munshiganj.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Sunday at a discussion said, the government officials and some immoral teachers are main perpetrators behind the question paper leak.
“We have taken many initiatives to stop question papers leakage following many suggestions from different quarters. We received a good number of allegations for printing question paper in every examination halls half an hour before starting examination. But when we realised that the government officials and the teachers are behind the question paper leak, so there is no benefit,” Nahid said.
Dr. Nasir Uddin, member of ACC, said that government staff had direct and indirect involvement behind the every incident of the question paper leakage.
