Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent :
Customers are disconnecting BTCL (Bangladesh Telecommunication Company) without getting the desired service in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna. Earlier, there were 400 connections in Z-T system in the telephone exchange of this upazila. Due to poor telephone connection and lack of service, customers are disconnected and there are currently 58 connections. Most of these are customer dissatisfaction. Recently this exchange was converted to digital but the connection capacity was increased to 80 but no profit was made. There are still 22 connections due to lack of subscribers empty. BTCL’s customer Bablu Professor from Saratnagar Bazar said, “I am using telephone from Z-T system but I have decided to leave the connection as the quality of service is very low.”
Anshar Ali, a customer of Bhangura Bazar, said, “I have been harassed a lot by BTCL’s telephones.” I have lost interest in using the telephone due to poor communication, noise in the line and frequent breakdowns.
Sahidul Islam, a technician at Bhangura Exchange, said many customers were disconnected as old underground cable lines were damaged. He said the rest are not getting full service.
Humayun Kabir, assistant manager of BTCL, acknowledged their inability and said that G-Phone connection would be introduced in the upazilas soon. He hopes that its customers will get better benefits then.
