Mymensingh Correspondent :One killed and 15 others injured in a factional clash among the ruling Awami League (AL) men in Nandail of Mymensingh district on Thursday evening.The deceased was identified as Abul Mansoor Bhuiyan, elder brother of former upazila chairman Shirajul Islam Bhuiyan. Moinul Hossain, Superintendent of Mymensing confirmed the death. Among the injured, 10 were rushed to the Nandail Upazila Health Complex for treatment. The local administration imposed Section 144 after the clash to avert further untoward situation.Sources said, supporters of Anwarul Abedin Tuhin, MP and Major General (retd) Abdus Salam, a former MP, gathered in front of Sub-Register’s office at about 7 in the evening to attend AL Nadail Poura conference.The clash ensued when a stone was thrown at the meeting venue by some one. Later a chase a counter chase followed between the two groups centering the incident leaving one person dead and 15 other injured.
