Nat’l Mourning Day observed in Islamabad, Tashkent

The National Mourning Day marking the 40th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed on Saturday at Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and Bangladesh Embassy in Tashkent with due solemnity and in a befitting manner.
To mark the day, Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad drawn up an elaborate programme to pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other family members who were assassinated on the 15th August of 1975.
The programme included wearing of black badges by the mission staff, hoisting of the national flag at half-mast, reading out the messages of the President, the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, arrangement of discussion and poster exhibition, screening of documentary on Bangabandhu and offering munajat and Fateha.
