The newly elected committee of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) took charge yesterday.
General secretary of the JPC outgoing committee Quamrul Islam Chowdhury handed over the charge to its new general secretary Farida Yasmin at a joint meeting of the outgoing and new committees held with its president Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman in the chair, said a press release.
Senior Vice-president of the new committee Saiful Alam, VP Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Joint Secretaries Shahed Chowdhury and Elias Khan, Treasurer Kartik Chatterjee, members Shaymal Dutta, Kuddus Afrad, Mainul Alam, Rezwanul Haque Raza, Molla Jalal, Shahmsuddin Ahmed Charu, Hasan Hafiz, Shahnaz Begum, Kalyan Saha and Hasan Arefin attended the meeting.
Samakal Editor Golam Sarwar and Daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury were also present.
