The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has announced a day-long hartal today (Sunday) in Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban districts in protest against the brutal killing of Nurul Alam Nuru, a central Chhatra Dal leader.
The announcement came from a protest rally held in front of the BNP city unit office at Nasimon Bhaban on Thursday evening. General Secretary of the City Chhatra Dal Gazi Siraj confirmed the programme.
Sources said that Central Chhatra Dal leader Nurul Alam Nuru was killed by the unidentified terrorists on Wednesday night. The killers called him out of his Chawkbazar residence, introducing themselves as law enforcers.
