Though the PU is a private university, CCC has no right to run this university because CCC is a public body and the govt sector is not allowed to run a private university . And hence under the rules of UGC , CCC has no right to claim ownership of this private university and no legal rights to interfere the matters of PU further. He further said PU is using the land of CCC and in exchange of that, PU is paying power bill, water bill and premise rent to CCC but in running the PU , CCC has no legal rights to interfere the matter of the private university.
According existing laws of the land, PU is an independent private institution. Barrister Mohibul also said as a promoter of the university, Mohiuddin Chowdhury used to form Trusty Board and all official letters of UGC would sent to PU Registrar earlier but now letters are being sent to CCC Mayor asking the city Mayor to form Trusty Board .
