IU launches eight more departments

Eight more departments at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have started their journey from the academic session 2017-18.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari disclosed this to the reporters at his office on Monday.
The departments are Law & Land Management, Development Studies, Social Welfare, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Environmental Science & Geography, Human Resource Management and Tourism & Hospitality Management. The number of students in the newly introduced departments will be 540. The total number of departments in the university is now 33 while a total of 2,235 students can entrance into the university from the academic year 2017-18.
