Admission form submission process of Jagannath University (JnU) for the first year first semester Honours courses of 2014-15 academic year in 31 departments under five faculties started on August 18. It will continue till August 31.
Register office sources said, the exam will be held for 31 departments under five faculties and the admission seekers can apply anytime by short message service (SMS) through any pre-paid number of Teletalk mobile phone that will cost Tk 350 for each form including service charge. After getting a personal user name, pin code, and roll number via reply text admission seekers can download their admit card from the website: www.jnu.teletalk.com.bd by attaching a passport size picture.
Before this, they have to fill up subject choice form according to their own faculty.
Students with GPA 7.5 comprising SSC and HSC will be eligible for applying for Science, Business Studies, vocational and Diploma courses while students having GPA 7.0 will be eligible for other subjects.
The students having less than GPA 3.0, including fourth subject, in SSC or HSC will not be eligible to sit in the admission test.
The admission seekers have been advised not to bring mobile phone, calculator or any other electronic devices.
However, the date of the examination under different units are scheduled to be held as Unit ‘Ka’ under Science faculty on September 12, Unit ‘Kha’ under Humanities faculty on the September 19, Unit ‘Ga’ under Business faculty on September 05, Unit ‘Gha’ under Social Science faculty on September 26 and Unit ‘Cha’ under Fine Arts faculty will be held on September 13. All admission tests will be held at 3:30 pm.
Like the previous year, the admission test of JnU will be held under Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) method.
