Haor, Island allowance for state banks employees

Employees and Officers of the six states owned commercial banks, working in government announced haor, island and char Upazilas of the country will now get separate allowances. Bangladesh Bank has instructed the chief executives of six state-owned banks to abide by the government’s directive.
The six state lenders are Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, Agrani Bank, Rupali Bank, Bangladesh Developed Bank and BASIC.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Banking Regulation and Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday (January 9, 2022)..
It said, “You have been instructed to implement the directive issued by the Financial Institutions Department of the government on last December 9.”
A notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance on last December 9 said, “The amount of allowance per month will be from a minimum of Tk 1,650 to a maximum of Tk 5,000 depending on the grade.
Besides, the government has decided to provide allowances to the permanent officers / employees of the state-owned banks located in Haor, Dwip and Char upazilas in the country.
According to the National Salary Scale 2015, the amount of allowance for officers of 8th and above grade is five thousand taka. 8th grade officers will get 4,600 taka..
The amount of allowance for 9th grade officers is 4,400 rupees. 20th grade officers will get an allowance of Tk 1,650 per month.
