The 5th founding anniversary of Gouripur Reporters’ Club was observed through different programmes at its office on Thursday . Freedom Nazim Uddin Ahmed MP was present as the Chief Guest.
The chief guest inaugurated the programme by cutting a cake and distributing sweetmeats among the guests.
Marking the occasion, a discussion meeting was held with President of Gouripur Reporters’ Club Mohammad Raihan Uddin Sarker in the chair. Mayor of Gouripur Municipal Sayed Rafiqul Islam, Upazila AL Senior Vice President Dr. Helal Udden; Upazila AL General Secretary Bidhu Bhushan Das, Former Mayor Shafiqul Islam Hobby;President of Gouripur Press Club Igbal Hossain Jowel and newly elected President of Gouripur Press Club Bag Faruk Ahmed and two others were present as special guests. Later, a colourful rally was brought out from club premises and terminated at the same place after parading the main roads of the town.
