Five senior police officers, including a deputy inspector general (DIG), have been transferred.
The Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued a notification on Thursday in this regard.
According to the notification, Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mofiz Uddin Ahmed has been transferred as DIG of Sylhet Range while its Deputy
Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Md Masudur Rahman as assistant inspector general (AIG) to Police Headquarters. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Police Headquarters (TR) Mohammad Harun-ur-Rashid has been made DC of the DMP while Faridpur SP Md Alimuzzaman shifted to Meherpur.
Besides, Meherpur SP SM Murad Ali has been transferred to Faridpur.
