A humble prayer
When I look around, I see people of all ages, from toddlers to aged one, all of them occupied with their respective activities. I feel pain and a deep sadness engulfs me knowing that one day all of us will have to depart from this world. We do not know when that day will arrive and how our life will come to an end. Will it be a natural death or a violent and unnatural one everything is hidden from us?
We do not know why we came in this world, why there is so much sufferings and anguish. Are we toys of the Al- Mighty Creator? A line from the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam comes to my mind “khelicho aiee Bishaw loyay Birat Shishu anmoney”.
We are feeling helpless. We hope The Al-Mighty Creator will show mercy and save the mankind from further sufferings.
