A drug addict husband allegedly stabbed his wife to death over family feud at Rikabi Bazar Noidigi Pathore area under Sadar upazila of the district early today.
The deceased was identified as Mitu, 35, wife of Mintu, 40, of the area.
Locals said Mintu was a drug addict and often tortured Mitu over trifling matters. An altercation ensued between the couple at the dead of night as Mintu sold showcase for money without informing his wife.
At one stage of altercation Mintu stabbed his wife Mitu at night, leaving her dead on the spot.
