An auto-rickshaw driver named Mahmudul Hasan Roki (24) was arrested by the police of Fakirhat Model PS in Bagerhat district on Monday on the Charge of committing rape with a woman passenger (23) at the night of Friday (on April 08) on the basis of a case lodged by the victim with the PS under Anti Women and Children Repression Act (case No. is 11 dated April. 10, 2022), according to a report received here.
The arrestee accused is the son of one Fazlur |Rahman of village Ghanashyampur under Fakirhat Upazila.
It is stated in the case that at the night (Friday) the woman passenger boarded the auto-rickshaw from C & B Bazar under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila to go to Khulna with a view to visiting her ailing husband there.
