DIS celebrates ‘Service Day’ with underprivileged children

Students of Daffodil International School (DIS) have celebrated ‘Service Day-2017’ on Thursday at DIS Dhanmondi campus with more than fifty underprivileged children of Modhubazar and Shankar area of capital city. With the support of DIS Welfare Club, the day long program was conducted by the students of DIS who were guided by their teachers. In this regards, the students took place of the teachers and conducted classes about dance, music, drama, drawing, playing, food habit, nutrition, science, computer, entrepreneurship etc.
Sabur Khan, Chairman, Governing body of DIS, Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Advisor of DIS, Ms. Shahana Khan, Principal, Ms. Rahima K Mirza Rosemeri, Sr. Vice Principal, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Students Affairs), DIU attended the activities of students through moving classroom to classroom.
To create social and ethical education beside academic education among DIS students, the authority of DIS have celebrated ‘service day’ in regular basis. In this day, the students turned into teachers and share their happiness with under privileged children.

In this regards the under privileged children got opportunity to learn in a well environment for at least one day.  
Farzana, an underprivileged child said that she is feeling happy, because of learning a lot from DIS students. Mizan, another underprivileged child said that he rendered song, dance and drew pictures today, so he feels very happy.
It may be mentioned that DIS gathered these underprivileged children from two voluntary organizations ‘Souhardo’ and ‘Gyaner Pathshala’. Both of the organizations are directed by Zobayer, a CSE student and Sazzad, a EEE student of Daffodil International University.
