Viewers’ choice popular actress Jenny is not frequently seen on the screen either in single episode play or telefilm now. Not only in common time but also in special days Jenny doesn’t show any interest to act in any play. Rather than round the year she is available to perform in drama serials.
Right now Jenny is acting in eight drama serials. These are: Masud Mohiuddin’s Nil Nagorik, Montasir Bipon’s Kachhakachhi, MR Mizan’s Nogor Alo, Amlan Biswas’ Anonnya, Mostafa Kamal Raj’s Dosto Dushmon and Off Screen, SA Haque Alik’s Sonar Suto and Sabur Khan’s Daag.
Of these serials, Daag, Sonar Suto and Off Screen are being telecasted on ATN Bangla, RTV and Desh TV respectively now.
Rest five serials will go on air soon, Jenny said.
While asking her is she feeling to act in TV serials one after another at a time Jenny replied, “I think the actors who have taken acting as their professions they can’t feel boring in this regard. Because it is their profession, while on the other hand it is their passion. It is also happened in case of mine. Acting is not only my profession but also a passion for me. For this reason, I never feel boring to acting. I never feel tired and boring to acting. I love acting so much. I also respect it.”
Jenny doesn’t believe to work in single episode plays on the occasion of special days including Eid festival, she said.
“When Eid comes we see that some actors engage with acting in many plays one after another. When viewers watch same face in several satellite channels at a time they really feel bore. For this reason, though Eid comes I do not show any interest to act in any play,” Jenny also said.
While talking about her favourite acted TV plays Jenny told this correspondent the following names:
Amitav Reza’s a play titled Ekta Phone Kora Jabey Please, Redoan Roni’s Urojahaj, Muhammad Ashiqur Rahman’s Golpota Chailey Bodley Deya Jeto and Joldanob O Manusher Golpo, Masud Mohiuddin’s Nil Akasher Kalo Rong, etc.
It may be mentioned that Jenny started her modeling career to perform in a TV commercial (TVC) of Unilver when it renamed after Liver Brothers.
Later she performed as a model in TVCs of Pond’s, Apollo Hospital, Meril Baby Lotion, BD Masala, etc. For the last six years she didn’t perform in any new TVC.
Only to keep request from director Golam Kibria Faruki, Jenny performed against Tahsan in last Valentine’s Day special play Chinigura, she said. n
