Chittagong Bureau :
Divisional Environment Department of Chittagong imposed penalty of Tk.74 lakh to Chittagong Bricks & Clay Works Co Ltd (Fakry Group) of Chittagong for illegal hill cutting in Sitakunda area.
At the same DOE has asked the authority of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology to submit a area boundary map and the accumulated earth owned by the Bricks factory to DOE immediately. After having the allegations against the Bricks factory in DOE office on Tuesday, Divisional Director Md. Jafar Alam announced this verdict .
