UNB, Khagrachari :
A police constable was killed and at least 15 other policemen were injured as a police bus turned turtle in Alutia of the district town on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Abu Bakar, who joined the police force one month back.
Locals said the bus, carrying the law enforcers, overturned and fell off into a nearby ditch, while returning to Khagrachari after the police personnel completed their duty in Comilla, as the bus behind it lost control, leaving Bakar dead on the spot and 15 others injured.
On information, police and firefighters rushed to the spot, recovered the injured and sent them to a local hospital. Police Super Sheikh Mizanur Rahman confirmed incident.
