The crisis of gas intensified suddenly on Wednesday in the port city. The domestic consumers suffer a lot lack gas supply.
The cookings on that very date halted for about 5-6 hours . Karnaphulil gas distribution company sources said due to complications in Ashugonj gas line, the supply is hampered to maximum extents.
Different sources said gas supply in Askardighi, Jamalkhan, Dewanbazar, Enayet Bazaar, Muradpur, Aturardepo, Chowkbazar,Bahaddar areas was on very low pressure as a result the housewives could not complete their cooking for launch . KGDCL sources said the actual demand of ga in Chittagong is 480 million cft but supply continued upto 300 m cft .
On Wednesday, the supply was 200 mcft , sources said.
