After testing a bitter taste in the ODI matches, Bangladesh team led by Mahmudullah Riyad want to come back in the T20I series. Bangladesh’s had an unhappy news that Bangladesh have to play T20I series without Tamim Iqbal and promising Hasan Mahmud. Tamim Iqbal will not take part in the T20I series due to personal reasons, while Hasan Mahmud will not participate in the upcoming shorter version cricket series against New Zealand due to injury.
Mahmudullah Riyad said, ” If we play without any shakiness and fearless cricket in T20I series, we can earn the result in favour of us. We have a thirst to win against New Zealand in the T20I series. We are eager to play against them. We shall try to perform our best in the tomorrow’s match.”
Riyad said, ” T20I match is anybody’s game. No one is favourite in 20-over-a-side match. There are no stronger team or weaker team in this format.”
He said, ” We could not perform well in the outgoing ODI series. I think we could not show a good cricket in the ODI series, according to our ability. If our minimum two players perform well and we show a good cricket in three departments (batting, bowling, fielding) we can beat any team. T20 format is a different cricket. The team which star in the day, they will win the match.”
He also said, ” We shall try our level best that the result of the ODI series cannot influence our next matches. We have no alternate but to win. We are eager to take the challenge against New Zealand.”
All-rounder of New Zealand Cricket team Daryl Mitchell said, “We have played a good number of T20I cricket matches this season, so our teammates know how to play a good cricket and change the situation any time. The matches will be enjoyable.”
