The 5th National Sculpture Exhibition will be held from November 28 to December 28
at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, MP will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest at 4:00pm today at the gallery. Secretary for the Cultural Affairs Ministry Md Abul Mansur, eminent sculptor Hamiduzzaman Khan and noted artist Alok Roy will be present as special guests on the occasion. BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky will preside over the inaugural ceremony. A total of 114 sculptures of 107 sculptors have been selected to display. Therefore, sculptures of 5 icon sculptors are also to be displayed in the exhibition. This year BSA will award 13 sculptors. This was announced at a press conference by DG of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky at a press conference held at BSA on Sunday where BSA Secretary Md Asaduzzaman, Director of Fine Arts Department of BSA Syeda Mahbuba Karim, among others, were present on the occasion.
