A Barishal court on Thursday afternoon has granted bail to all of 12 AL activists and BCC staffs out of 21 accused arrested in cases lodged by police and UNO secured bail.
Earlier nine accused of the cases lodged by Barishal Sadar Upazila UNO Munibur Rahman and Sub Inspector Shjahan Mallik, secured bail on August 25. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Barishal Masum Billah granted bail of all in two terms.
Khokon Chandra Das, confirmed that Magistrate of the court had granted bail on a bail bond of Tk.10 thousand till the next police report.
Defendant’s lawyer Talukdar Md Younus, district AL secretary and one of the advocates of the accused, also revealing the same facts told that now all the 21 arrested accused have been granted bail including BCC councilor Said Ahamed Manna, city AL joint secretary Hasan Mahmud Babu.
