Youth’s skeleton recovered after 56-day of missing

Police have recovered the skeleton of a young man from a pond after 56 days after of his missing at Khadimpur village of Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, son of Katab Ali Biswas of Khadimpur village in Alamdanga upazila. He was a farmer by profession.
The family members of the deceased identified him

by seeing the clothes recovered along with the skeletons. Police sent the skeleton and skull to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Sources said that on Friday morning, the villagers were cleaning water hyacinth from Ujjal Mollah’s pond for fishing. At that time, Alamgir’s leg came up in one’s hand. Later, the family of the deceased identified Alamgir by seeing his pants. Later, the police was informed of the matter. Alamdanga police came to the spot and recovered the skeleton of the deceased on Friday afternoon and sent it to the morgue of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Katab Ali, the father of the deceased, said that his son Alamgir Hossain had been missing since October 10. Family members searched in various places but could not find him. Later on the 21st of the same month, Katab Ali filed a general diary at Alamdanga police station.
The victim’s family claimed that Alomgir’s friend Shipon Ali of the same village killed him for money and hid his body.
Alamdanga Police Station OC Alamgir Kabir said a DNA test was taken to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
