Police arrested a young man along with a Japanese short gun, a few rounds of bullet and 51 pieces of Yaba pills from Kaizar Char area of Keraniganj upazila of the city on Thursday night.
The arrested was identified as Khalil, 28, son of Lat Mia, a resident of Kaizar Char area under Keraniganj Model Police Station. Md. Masiur, sub-inspector of Dhaka south Detective Branch of police, said on secrete information, police conducted a raid and arrested Khalil from the area.
Later police searched his body and recovered a Japanese short gun, 21 rounds of bullet and 51 pieces of Yaba tablet. DB police handed over Khalil to Karaniganj Model Police Station.
