Youth held with gold bars at Benapole

Border Guard Bangladesh personnel, in a raid, arrested a youth and seized three gold bars weighing 1.169 kilograms worth Tk 52,93,600 from Shikri Battala under Benapole port police station, said Lieutenant Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion on Tuesday night.
The BGB official told that tipped off the BGB men led by Nayek Subedar Md Abdul Maleq held Nazmul Hossain, 25 of Putkhali village under Benapole port police station while he was going to India along with the gold bars from Shikri Battala frontier at around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.
The arrested was handed over to Benapole port station police after filing a case.
