A young man was killed by his rival groups at Char-Sholakia in Kishoreganj sadar over supremacy on Wednesday noon.
The victim was identified as Shafiqul Islam (32) , son of Abdul Hakim in char-Sholakia village. Soon after the incident, the locals held the murderer Rajon.
The locals and Police sources said, there was a dispute for quite long time. On Wednesday noon, Shafiul went to his agricultural farm, Rajon went and got into an argument with him.
At one stage, Rajan stabbed Shafiqul in the stomach and throat with a knife, he was carrying. Shafiqul died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.
At that time the locals went ahead and caught the killer Rajan and informed the police station, and police rushed to the spot.
Police also arrested killer Rajon.
When asked Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer in Charge ( OC) Mohammad Dawood told that the accused Rajan had been arrested in connection with the murder.
