Police here on Saturday afternoon recovered decomposed body of an unidentified woman from a water body (haor) in Osmani Nagar upazila of the district.
Officer-in-charge of Osmani Nagar Police Station Md Sahid Ullah said locals located the body of the woman aged around 30, floating on the water around 2 pm and informed police.
On information, police later recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination, the OC added.
