Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a launch at the city’s Sadarghat on Thursday morning.
Police said ‘MV Parabat-10’, a launch from Barisal, reached the Sadarghat Launch Terminal around 8am.
While getting down from the launch, some passengers saw the woman’s body lying in a staff cabin and informed police. Later, law enforces recovered the body.
Mafizur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Keraniganj Police Station, suspected that miscreants might have raped the woman and then killed her.
