A woman reportedly killed herself with her two-year old baby by jumping in front of a running train at Dhamrai of Gaffargaon Upazila in Mymensingh district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Liza Akhtar, 25, and her son Yasir, said Abdul Ahad, Officer-in-Cahrge (OC) of Gaffargaon Police Station.
Liza Akhter committed suicide by jumping in front of a Dhaka bound Jamuna Express train at 7:30 am, the police official said.
The bodies were recovered and sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he added.
Gaffargaon Union Parishad Chairman Shamsul Alam Khokon said that the suicide incident might have taken place over the family feud.
