Fulbari Upazila Jewellery Samity and Sharna Shilpi Sramik Union jointly distributed winter clothes among 200 cold- hit people at Fulbari Upazila In Dinajpur on Sunday.
A discussion was arranged at Municipal Bazar Chattar with Convener of Upazila Sharna Shilpi Sramik Union, Md Manik Mandal in the chair.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Fulbari Circle, Md. Rafiqul Islam was present as Chief Guest.
President of Upazila Jewellery Samity Md. Sahazul Islam, Vice President Md. Azizul Haque, Ajit Prasad, General Secretary Gautam Datta, Assistant General Secretary Sanjay, Co-organizing secretary Kamlesh Roy, Joint Convener of Upazila Sharna Shilpi Sramik Union Md. Nayon Mandal, Rubel Hasan, Harun ur Rashid Nantu, Sourav Palit, Milon and Shayon Chandra addressed the event as special guests. It was Former General Secretary of Fulbari Press Club and Daily Amader Samoy Correspondent Wahidul Islam Defence, Staff Reporter of The Weekly Desh Maa, Dainik Ajkaler Khabor and The Daily Tritiya Matra Correspondent Plabon Shuvo attended among others.
At the end of programme distribution of winter clothes among 200 cold- hit poor people and the identity cards were distributed among all the members of Upazila Sharna Shilpi Sramik Union.
BSS from Panchagarh adds: A total of 2,600 blankets were distributed among distressed people at Debiganj upazila in the district.
Debiganj upazila parishad chairman Md Hasnat Zaman Chowdhury Jarje distributed the quilts among the poor people.
The chairman along with leaders and activists of Jubo League, youths front of the ruling Awami League, went to the door-to-door of the poor people and gave blankets to them in the last three days.
