A youth was trampled by a herd of wild elephants in Jhumpara area under Pekua upazila of the district early yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Rabi Alam, 28, resident of Miapara-Rajakhali of the upazila.
Police said the elephants coming from the nearby forests and trampled Alam to death while he was returning home through the area.
