A wife was killed allegedly by her husband at Rashidabad village in Kishoreganj Sadar on Sunday night.
The discussed Tanzina Akhter (28), daughter of Md.Alauddin Miah in Josodal area in Kishoreganj.
According to family sources, approximately two years ago, Tanjina Akhter marriage Raihan.
Ever since the marriage, husband Raihan, brother-in-law Jewel, father-in-law Shamsuddin and mother-in-law Nurunnaha have been torturing Tanzina for dowry.
Tanjina’s younger brother Billal Hossain complained that his sister was beaten up by her husband and in-laws for dowry. Tanjina told the matter at her father’s house, but her family could not meet the dowry demand as the family could not afford it.
In this situation, the husband and in-laws attacked Tanzina at around 6 pm last two days and tried to suffocate her with a veil around her neck.
At that time, when Tanzina started fighting, she was thrown to the ground and beaten in different parts of her body.
When she was seriously injured, her husband and in-laws brought her to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital while duty doctors declared her dead
Police sent to mourge for autopsy. A case was field in this connection with Kishoreganj model police station.
