Warrant against Gayeshwar, Khoka among 35 BNP men

The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka yesterday (Tuesday) issued arrest warrant against 35 BNP leaders, including its Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka, in a murder case.
Judge Qamrul Hossain Molla of the court issued the warrant after taking into cognizance the charge-sheet on Tuesday.
Twenty-one accused including Sadeque Hossain Khoka were shown fugitives in the charge-sheet,
while 14 accused, who earlier secured bail, were not present in the court. The court issued arrest warrants against all of them.
On March 29, 2013, one Mansur Pradhaniya was killed during vandalism and arson attack during the BNP-Jamaat alliance sponsored ‘March for Democracy’ in the city.
On March 20 of this year, police submitted the charge-sheet of the case filed with Rampura Police Station against 49 people, including Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Sadeque Hossain Khoka.
